Creating the World the Way I Want It to Be
Wow. After posting last week in The Chaos of Change—The Joy of Creating about how the basic structure of my life had fallen apart, this week has been quite the opposite!
It’s like for the past few weeks a tidal wave has been sweeping through the physical aspect of my life to make room for something new. And it arrived this week.
At this point in time what you are witnessing is the birth of something new. Instead of doing all this R+D establishment kind of work in the background and then giving you the polished finished result, I’m letting you see the behind-th-scenes process because this so demonstrates how change happens in life.
For the past few weeks I have been working diligently on writing some pages that establish the foundation for Lifely. As I’ve been doing that, I need to pull to the surface basic principles that have been unfolding over three decades and state them in a way that can guiding principles for this new venture and can be understood by others. While doing so, these statements also act as intentions that create new manifestations in my life and in the world. This is a basic life process.
I also have had attention on wanting to establish a definition of what a lifely product might be and have been starting to mention this in posts and have been scribbling notes about it.
This week two major things opened up, both on Thursday. Thursday was a BIG day!
First, one of my plans for Lifely was to offer courses. The basic structure for Lifely is to establish a philosophy of how Life works and our place in it, and then apply that theory to create a lifestyle that naturally follows from that philosophy. I need some method to communicate and teach these life basics beyond writing a little blog post.
Because I was on a particular mailing list, this week I received an announcement about an educational summit being given on the subject of offering courses. It, of course, was offering a service, but I attended the first lecture and it was amazingly...I shouldn’t be so amazed things happen like this any more, but I am...it was amazingly exactly what I needed. And it comes with tons of training so I don’t have to figure it all out from scratch. Now normally this kind of training would be one or two or three thousand dollars, but it is FREE when you subscribe to the course posting service for a very reasonable monthly fee. I do not need to figure out how to create, construct, or market courses now. All I need to do is write them. It’s like my “offer courses” support team just appeared. I actually had been piling up course ideas and now here is a place to put them. I’m still awestruck about this. So on Friday I signed up for this service and got the domain name for:
THE LIFELY SCHOOL OF LIFE
Then I had a phone call with a friend I have known for almost more than forty years. We have occasionally done various things together for her businesses as she has evolved. We are both at a similar stage in life. We’re about the same age and are both establishing businesses that are “the culmination of our life’s work.”
Like me, she’s at a point where she can create something new. She’s not locked in to something already established that she needs to continue.
We talked and she and I are going to work together to create her new website to be a model of lifely marketing. So hand-in-hand with my developing the concept of lifely product (which includes lifely marketing) here she shows up with her lifely product and says “let’s collaborate."
GUIDLELINES FOR LIFELY PRODUCTS
I feel like I’m standing at a point in space and time and looking out into a future that is about to be created. After forty years of reporting on the creations of others, I now am making a creation of my own. To my own vision and standards.
And you get to watch it grow.
I am so excited about this I can’t sleep. I’m typing this at 2 am.
I remember many years ago standing in the doorway of my little cabin in the woods, looking out into the forest and I thought, I have my own nontoxic home now, but I have to go out into the world, so I need to make the world a better place too. Because it’s my world, it’s where I live. And now I’m doing it. I’m doing what started as just a thought many many years ago.
But it’s not “the world according to Debra.” What I want is to live according to Life. To be my own individual expression of the bigger Life.
DEBRA REDALIA, Co-Founder of Lifely, has been researching and writing about lifestlye topics for more than forty years. After her first book on nontoxic consumer products was published in 1984, she went on to be the leader in this field as Debra Lynn Dadd. In June 2019, she retired from writing about toxics and industrial consumer products to establish The Lifely Group with her llifepartner and soulmate Larry Redalia. This next step into life beyond industrialization is the result of a lifetime of research and making lifely changes in her own life that have given her greater health and happiness.
