The Power of Commitment
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that
the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!

It may seem to you that I am wandering off into some strange world by myself and I’m attempting to make some great impossible change in the world. But I want you to know it doesn’t seem that way to me.
Back in 1981 when I decided—as Debra Lynn Dadd—to write the first book ever on toxic chemicals in consumer products, I was the first one to say anything on the subject. I had to publish my own book on this unknown topic. I did all the research in scientific and medical books because there was no internet. And I did this because it just didn’t make sense to me that everyone should unknowingly be poisoning themselves and their children. I wanted to change the world, and I did. Just look around now at how many nontoxic products there were that didn’t exist then.
In 1987 I started writing about the environmental effects of products before green products were introduced in America in 1990. At the time I was called “The Queen of Green.” Once again, a huge change was made in the marketplace, away from harmful products and toward products that had more beneficial effects.
Now I’m about to present to the world an even bigger vision of where we need to go to fulfill our potential as human beings living according to the ways of Life.
Already things are moving and changing fast in my life. My own commitment to putting this new viewpoint into words and making it known in the world has changed my life tremendously already. Information is coming to me faster than I can organize and publish it. Whatever I need is coming to me almost instantly. And I’m sure this will continue.
Last week I had a big breakthrough in solving a website technical problem and I’m working on preparing statements regarding what Lifely is all about.
Even though this all may seem daunting, in my experience, I find the path opens with each step taken.
I cannot begin to express in words how excited I am to be finally doing this work.
Everything is shifting. I’m having to reorganize my entire office, new ideas are coming to me, I’m understanding things I couldn’t understand before.
This change may come faster than we think.
