We Did The Covid-19 Test

Debra Redalia

The covid-19 test is administered with a swab.

About 10 days ago Larry and I went and got the covid-19 test.

We weren’t having symptoms, but we live with Larry’s Mom, who is 88 years old, and we just wanted to make sure we weren’t giving an exposure to her.

We both tested negative.

We’re happy we got tested and now know we at least were negative on the day of the test.

You may have seen on the news long lines of cars carrying people waiting to be tested, but here in California, we went to a website, made an appointment, and then walked in to a room in a local high school at the appointed time. There was nobody else there except the testing personnel. It was all very well run, and five business days later we each received an email to check online for our results.

So we’re OK here. We’ve been going out and about. We put our masks on before we go into a store. We’ve eaten in a few restaurants. We go shopping.

We’re not frantic about it. We just do the precautions and hold the thought that we and loved ones and everyone in our community and beyond is safe and healthy. Including you.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Debra & Larry Redalia
lifepartners + soulmates

For more than 30 years we have been delving into the nature and activities of life together. Indeed, this has been and continues to be the very reason we are together. With delight, we research, explore, observe, and even wake each other up in the middle of the night to discuss how life functions and how we can function as life—even while living in the modern world. We each are different from the norm, but we are different in the same way, so we have been able to think outside of the ordinary together and find the extraordinary workings of life.
